Safe Operating Procedures
General Safety
- No one under the age of 22 shall be permitted to rent or operate the watercraft at any time. The renter/operator of the craft shall be fully and completely responsible for all passengers he/she invites onto the craft.
- Ensure all operators know how to swim and to reboard the watercraft. It is suggested that reboarding be attempted in shallow water at first.
- No wakeboarding, waterskiing, knee boarding, tubing or towing of any kind will be permitted at any time.
- No nighttime operation. Operation shall only occur one half hour after sunrise and commence one half hour before sunset.
- Operators and riders must obey all federal state and local laws at all times.
- No one under the influence of any alcohol, illegal drugs or any mind or body altering substance may operate or ride the watercraft at anytime.
Apparel
- All operators and passengers must wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device at all times.
- Shatterproof glasses, gloves, foot protection are recommended when riding personal watercraft.
- Operator and passengers must wear protective clothing. This must be a wet suit bottom or clothing that has the equivalent thickness. Standard bathing suits and clothing do not provide adequate protection against forced entry.
